Khloé Kardashian recently shared the details of her journey to recovery after undergoing surgery to remove a melanoma tumor from her cheek. On October 11, the reality star took to Snapchat to show before-and-after photos of her procedure, revealing why she decided to get facial fillers.
In the first set of images, Kardashian highlighted the indentation on her right cheek left by the removal of cancerous tissue. The second set of photos showed the results after she received injections to fill the indentation.
“As a result of the surgery, and the tumor my incredible doctor removed, I ended up with an indentation in the side of my face,” Kardashian explained in her post. She also mentioned that she waited nine months after the surgery to get fillers, following her doctor's recommendation to ensure everything was medically safe.

Khloé first began sharing her health journey two years ago when fans noticed a bandage on her face. She explained on Instagram that she initially thought a small bump on her cheek was a zit but decided to get it biopsied after seven months of no improvement. The biopsy revealed it was melanoma, a form of skin cancer.
In her Instagram post, Khloé expressed how shocked she was to learn that the tiny spot was skin cancer and emphasized the importance of getting any unusual marks checked by a doctor.
Kardashian has since been open about her health and treatments, encouraging her followers to be consistent with checkups. She has also revealed in The Kardashians that she had her first melanoma removed from her back when she was 19.
