In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, Sophie Turner broke her silence on her ongoing divorce from Joe Jonas and navigating co-parenting their daughters, 4-year-old Willa and 2-year-old Delphine. While Turner acknowledged that she couldn’t share full details due to legal proceedings, she expressed the emotional toll of the split. “I can’t really say much, but it was incredibly sad,” she said. “We had a beautiful relationship, and it was hard.”
Turner, currently residing in the UK, shared that living away from her daughters, who are in the United States with Jonas, has been difficult. “Being in my west London home without them is absolute agony,” she noted. Jonas filed for divorce in September 2023 and requested joint custody while stating that the children would remain with him during the Jonas Brothers tour. Turner later filed a lawsuit for their return to the UK, and a custody agreement was reached soon after.
Despite the challenges, Turner has found solace in returning to her roots. “I’m so happy to be back in the UK,” she shared. “I never really feel like myself when I’m not in London.” Turner also finds happiness in her new relationship with British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson. “He’s lovely. He’s funny, and he brings out the cheeky side of me, the fun side. He lights me back up,” she said.
Turner revealed that she channeled her emotions from the divorce into her work on the upcoming thriller Trust, describing the role as a cathartic experience. “That one really mirrored my life from this past year, and it was a very cathartic experience for me,” she explained. “It was a chance to let out some serious anger, which was fun.”
Reflecting on motherhood, Turner credited her children for motivating her through difficult times. “Before I had kids, I was very depressed and anxious, and I would isolate [myself] a lot,” she admitted. “Now, I think I live my life for them. I want them to see me having a social life, enjoying work, and thriving in my career and relationships.”
With her focus on her career, family, and newfound love, Sophie Turner is embracing the next chapter with strength and resilience.
